We have an exciting position available foraBuilding Safety Managerto join us!
As a Building Safety Manager, you will supportusto meetourbuilding safety requirements for theportfolio of Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs) and other in-scope buildings (i.e. 11m plus and Independent Living Schemes).
You will have responsibility for managing a portfolio of HRBs and other in-scope buildings to ensure the delivery of building safety activities including risk management, safety processes, and responding to operational needs to ensure compliance with related statutory and regulatory requirements.
This is a dynamic and varied role that requires knowledge of building, fire and structural safety legislation and regulatory requirements, risk management, flexibility, strong organisationskillsand a customer focused approach.
Whatwerelooking for:
Hold a relevant professional qualification in construction, fire or health and safety
Applied understanding of UK building / fire safety legislation, including the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 and The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
Practical working knowledge and experience in the application of risk management approaches in relation to building structures and construction, building safety and inspections, fire safety strategies and management plans,healthand safety.
Experience of Building Safety with exposure to fire safety, structural compliance and health and safety
Applied understanding of Building Safety principlesin order toensure the safety of HRBs and other OM in-scope buildings
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) and comfortable learning and developing new systems i.e. C365,RiskFlagor similar
Ideally worked in the Social Housing sector within a building safety position
Full UK Driving licencerequired
