About the role
A Respiratory Devices Territory Manager at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare means being a trusted clinical advisor, building relationships and guiding clinical practice. The current opportunity covers clinicians throughout the patient pathway in the North Wales/Chester Territory, including emergency departments, respiratory wards and ICUs in adult and infant environments to improve patient outcomes. Key hospitals in the patch include Arrowe Park Hospital, Countess of Chester Hospital, Glan Clwyd Hospital and Ysbty Gwynedd. You will have the flexibility to travel to develop the region. We provide comprehensive training on products, therapy approaches and relationship-building to establish lasting professional partnerships.
What the role involves
* Manage, maintain and grow the assigned territory. Regularly meet with clients to understand needs, observe competitor activity, and deliver planned training sessions with healthcare professionals. Participate in regular monthly Business Reviews.
* Meet or exceed sales/KPI targets. Monitor territory performance using CRM and Power BI; identify growth opportunities and develop long-term strategic partnerships.
* Build relationships with clinicians, Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare professionals. Network at trade shows and conferences to gain advocates.
* Develop and maintain supportive, productive relationships at all levels within the organisation.
* Engage in continuous professional development; stay up to date with NHS developments and clinical data, and present this data to healthcare professionals during presentations.
Key competencies for success
* Track record of selling a technical or clinical device into ICU and wards; understanding of procurement routes.
* 3+ years of sales or related experience in medical or healthcare industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Strong selling, commercial acumen and negotiating skills; understanding of the procurement process.
* Proficiency with CRM tools and data; ability to develop sales strategies, product demonstrations and sales reports.
* Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills; strong networking abilities; ability to work independently and as part of a team; good IT and administrative skills.
