Make a Real Difference Support Two Independent Women to Live Life Their Way
Location: Shrewsbury
Hours: Part-time (19 hours per week, including a mix of days, evenings, weekends, nights and sleep-ins)
Experience: Not needed just bring your kindness and a willingness to learn
Applicants: Due to the nature of the service, we are only able to accept applications from female candidates

At MacIntyre, we believe everyone deserves to live a life that makes sense to them. If you're kind, patient, and enjoy building meaningful relationships, this could be the role for you.

You’ll be supporting two women in their 30s and 50s who live in their own homes in Shrewsbury. They both have a learning disability and live fairly independently, but benefit from 24/7 support to help them do the things they love and stay safe and well.

Each woman is unique, with her own passions and routines. Between them, they enjoy swimming, shopping, dancing, and going to the theatre so if you share any of those interests, even better! But what matters most is that you're someone who listens, encourages, and values people for who they are.

You’ll support them with everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning and gardening, and one of the ladies would really appreciate your help in managing her money and making healthy choices around food and exercise. There’s no complex personal care involved just occasional prompts and encouragement to keep up with personal hygiene.

What we offer:

A warm and supportive team

Full training (no experience needed)

A role where what you do matters and the impact lasts well beyond your shift

If you're ready to be part of something meaningful and make a difference in someone’s life, we’d love to hear from you.

"Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding."
