The Medical Staffing Team provides comprehensive Medical HR and Education services to the Trust. As a key team member, you will support with responding to queries, minute-taking, and general administrative tasks.
You will be involved in inducting resident doctors and managing medical student placements.
If you do not already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience, RDaSH offers this position alongside the opportunity to complete a relevant Level 3 apprenticeship qualification.
As an apprentice, you will gain experience, develop work-related skills, and work towards a nationally recognised qualification. The apprenticeship includes training with a college or training provider, with around 20% of working hours dedicated to training or studying.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide administrative support to the team, including organizing workload, meetings, minute-taking, and call handling.
2. Assist in coordinating induction programs and on-call rotas for resident doctors and medical students, under supervision.
3. Maintain a confidential, high-quality administrative service.
4. Ensure high levels of customer service and positive interactions at all contact points.
5. Communicate effectively and professionally with staff, visitors, and external agencies, using discretion and empathy.
6. Provide first-level HR advice and support, escalating issues as appropriate.
7. Manage the medical personnel inbox, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
8. Offer pastoral support and be the first point of contact for queries from resident doctors and medical students, responding in a timely manner.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
* English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent (GCSE 9-4 or A*-C, or functional skills Level 2)
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a related subject
* NVQ Level 3 in a related subject or willingness to undertake a relevant Level 3 Apprenticeship
Experience (Essential)
* Experience working in a busy office environment, demonstrating multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills
* Experience using Microsoft Office applications
