Finance Business Partner - Belfast - £43,000 - £46,600 - 3-Month Contract
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong analytical skills and public sector experience to contribute to an organisation that delivers vital services across Northern Ireland.
Responsibilities
* Lead on budgeting and forecasting, monitoring spend against forecasts and preparing monthly expenditure reviews.
* Provide accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports.
* Analyse financial data, identify pressures and savings opportunities, and present insights to senior stakeholders.
* Reconcile payroll and salary forecasts with the General Ledger, including agency staff.
* Support long-term financial planning, policy development, and process improvement.
* Engage with budget holders to provide financial advice and ensure effective cost management.
* Contribute to the automation and standardisation of financial reporting packs.
About You
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations).
* Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data, providing clear insights.
* Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly with non-financial colleagues.
* Previous public sector finance experience highly desirable.
