Location: Birmingham / Field Based
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 depending on experience + overtime
My client is looking for a CNC Service Technician to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong knowledge of Mazak CNC machinery to work with a respected company supporting customers across a wide range of manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of CNC machine tools
* Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
* Preventative maintenance and breakdown response at customer sites
* Diagnostics and support on Mazak CNC controls and machinery
* Machine geometry checks, alignments, and performance optimisation
* Providing technical support and training to customers where required
* Completing accurate service reports and documentation
* Maintaining excellent customer relationships and representing the business professionally
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a CNC Service Engineer or CNC Maintenance Engineer
* Strong hands-on experience with Mazak CNC machines
* Knowledge of Mazatrol / Mazak control systems
* Ability to read electrical drawings and mechanical schematics
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently and manage field service schedules
* Experience with multi-axis machining centres or turning centres
* PLC fault finding knowledge
* Customer-facing service experience
