National Account Manager

The role of the National Account Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly driven, motivated, and dynamic National Account Manager. You will oversee a portfolio with substantial growth opportunities within a highly recognized brand in their market.

This role is nationally based; candidates should reside within 2 hours of the West Midlands region. You will need excellent negotiation, presentation, and rapport-building skills to effectively manage and grow a well-established account base.

Operating from home with weekly office visits, you must be highly organized, self-motivated, and efficient. You will set and attend regular visits to existing and new clients to introduce, upsell, and place orders. Your account base includes Key and National Account Homeware Stores, DIY outlets, Garden Centres, Discounter Stores, Cash and Carry's, Trade Stores, and Online Resellers. You will deal with decision-makers such as Owners, Buyers, and Managers, requiring adaptability and flexibility. Key customers include Robert Dyas, Ryman, B&M, Toolstation, VOW, Lyreco, Dunelm, and B&Q.

With nearly 1000 SKUs, including plastic food storage, garden planters, water butts, etc., you will present a broad product range to existing and potential clients, educating them on the best products for their customers and informing them of new launches.


The Person

* 3-5 years of experience selling at key or national account levels.
* Willing to spend one night a week away from home.
* Retail experience selling into garden centres, discount stores, and/or wholesalers is preferred.
* Driven with a track record of closing deals, often on the same day.


The Package

* £50-55k basic salary plus 20% quarterly bonus.
* £6000 car allowance.
* Mobile, Laptop, iPad, Pension.
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
