Animal Care Technician
We have an exciting opportunity for an Animal Care Technician to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College. Working in this role you will maintain a high standard of animal husbandry and contribute to the curriculum needs of the Animal Care department.
Working alongside a dedicated unit staff, the role will also include interaction with students on a practical basis. You will work with a wide variety of animal species and the position requires broad animal experience.

Responsibilities
* Routine care and management of college animal care livestock
* Maintain a clean and efficient working environment in the Animal Care Unit
* Liaise with appropriate vocational areas to plan supervision and assessment of students
* Carry out health and safety and risk assessments in accordance with college procedures and practices
Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification in Animal Care or equivalent
* Recent experience of working in the industry
* Able to assist in the development of safe systems for practical activities
* Experience of caring for a range of animals

The successful candidate will be employed by The Leicestershire College, a subsidiary company of Loughborough College Group. Terms and conditions of employment are those of the Leicestershire College. Employees are based at one of the campuses of Loughborough College Group.
