Moorlands Grange is a modern, 40‑bed care centre for people who require short‑stay care after leaving hospital. In partnership with Locala Health Care, we support the residents of Kirklees in gaining independence and maintaining their dignity. Moorlands Grange consists of four suites (Poppy, Heather, Rose and Sunflower) with communal lounge, dining areas and a garden. Our supportive staff team ensure that the care we provide makes a real difference.
The Role
In this role you will perform a variety of administrative, financial, and business support duties. You will handle sensitive or confidential information, deal with staff, residents, and visitors, and serve as a front‑facing point of contact for the home. Answering and directing telephone calls to the relevant staff, and working alongside deputy managers and team coordinators to ensure the smooth running of the home are essential parts of the role.
Key responsibilities
* Specialist administrative support
* Responding to non‑routine enquiries/complaints, signposting as required
* General administrative duties as required
* Cash handling and processing of invoices or cheques
* Information and record management as directed
* Reception duties
* Data processing (input and retrieval) – including service‑based IT systems
* Arrange meetings and take minutes as appropriate
* Maintain and issue stationery stock items
* Produce basic statistical and management information
* Specialist word processing
* Project work (under supervision)
Qualifications & Attributes
* Knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation
* Ability to build positive working relationships with peers, colleagues, and partner agencies
* Resilience to sensitive information
* Good IT skills and familiarity with computer packages (Microsoft Word, Excel) and use of office equipment
* Strong customer care skills when dealing with visitors face‑to‑face or over the telephone
