Come Join Our Team!
We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a support worker to work alongside our client in Norwich, Norfolk.
Our client is a young man in his 20s. The youngest of three brothers, he lives in an incredibly loving, supportive, chatty and lively household in the charming village of Rockland St. Mary, just a short drive from central Norwich.
He’s a charming and inspiring young man with a wide range of interests, from Peppa Pig to world politics. His magnetic personality draws people into conversations on these topics and everything in between. He loves baking, quiz shows, getting out and about in the local area, and football (he is a huge Chelsea fan). Most of all, he adores people. His care team describe him as a joy to work with and say he has nothing but kind words to share.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (between 07:30 - 19:30, seven-day rota, published well in advance)
Key Responsibilities:
At twelve years old, the client suffered a spinal stroke, impacting his life dramatically. He has an NG tube for drainage and is fed via jejunal tube through his bowel. Due to scoliosis, he uses a bipap to support breathing during the night. His care plan supports the following:
* Daily/nightly bowel, urinary, and personal care
* Feeding regime
* Physiotherapy programme
* Transportation - a full UK driving licence and vehicle are essential
* Manual handling
* Medication delivery
* Suctioning
Requirements:
We seek someone with experience in a care environment, ideally with young adults or children. Complex care experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Most importantly, the client wants someone dependable, sociable, and thoughtful with positive energy, solid common sense, vigilance, and good communication skills. In return, you will gain valuable experience and skills, working within a great team and a supportive family in a lovely environment, including access to areas in the home specifically for support workers.
Our client has complex needs but is far more defined by his wonderful qualities. He is a delightful, incredibly funny person and an inspiration to those around him. For more information, contact Daniel.Scratcher@libertatemhealthcare.co.uk
