Interim Accountant (Qualified or Finalist-Level)
Location: Oxford (Hybrid/Flexible)
Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term
Rate: up to £300 per day PAYE
Overview
We’re looking for a confident and capable qualified or part-qualified accountant to join our Group Reporting Finance team on a temporary basis. You’ll play a key role in managing month-end close, multi-entity accounting, and group reporting in a fast-paced environment.This role is for a leading biotechnology research client, offering exposure to a dynamic and innovative sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage month-end close for multiple EMEAI entities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
2. Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journals with strong attention to detail.
3. Lead group-level close for accruals, prepayments, and investment bonds.
4. Perform cost-centre variance analysis for Finance and HR.
5. Support half-year and year-end reporting, including audit preparation.
6. Liaise with local advisors across Europe (English required; other languages a plus).
7. Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with internal controls.
8. Provide ad hoc support across the wider Finance team when needed.
