Supply Desk is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant primary school community in Chesham or the Dacorum area.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ development in SEN or mainstream primary settings.
Position Details
Location: Chesham & Dacorum, Hertfordshire
Start Date: ASAP / October 2025
Salary: Starting from £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
Your Responsibilities
Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons tailored to primary-aged children
Assist in developing and implementing individual learning plans for pupils needing extra support
Provide one-to-one or small-group assistance to enhance learning and confidence
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence
Contribute to lesson planning and lead engaging classroom activities when required
Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to help children grow
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience as an HLTA or in a similar educational support role, ideally in a primary school
A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils and staff
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently
A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative team player
