About The Role
At EKFB we’re shaping infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners – Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM – bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high‑speed rail projects. We are looking to recruit a Landscape Clerk of Works to join our team based in Aylesbury.
Responsibilities
In this role you will oversee delivery of landscape design packages, ensuring quality adherence to specifications and checking workmanship and materials to guarantee all design requirements are met for landscape, engineering, ecology and other objectives, on site and in the office. You will assist in the management oversight of early landscape and ecology mitigations, attend programme meetings, audit and check works to support applications for payment, and interpret technical drawings and designs to facilitate delivery through site teams and subcontractors. You will manage delivery tracking and progress reporting, report against ITP criteria, unblock delivery barriers, and assist in the management of the design change process in liaison with designers and stakeholders to close out changes on tight timescales. You will be involved in route‑wide work, understand design requirements in terms of the Environmental Statement (ES) and relevant U&As, ensure inclusion of key landscape design elements, and check that health, safety and ecology requirements are met. You will contribute to assurance that the design specification (SCEW) requirements are adhered to on site and provide evidence for early warnings and communications with subcontractors. In addition, you will assist in maintaining programmes for reporting and demonstrating compliance with applicable legislation and industry best practice, support implementation of BS EN ISO14001 certification, audit against the standard and internal procedures, and work collaboratively with the wider Environmental Team, client, designers, community, stakeholders and public relations managers to achieve the programme and actively promote good practice in environmental management and sustainability.
