This role is to provide Locum Consultant fixed term contract to support the Breast Reconstructive service based at the Queen Victoria Hospital. The successful candidate will have experience of, and an interest in Breast Reconstruction. Clinics and Theatre sessions are provided at QVH.
Main duties of the job
As a Locum Consultant at the Trust, you will share responsibility for the development and delivery of your clinical service. Conduct clinical duties in breast reconstruction attending clinics and theatre sessions at QVH. Ensure compliance with professional, national and local service standards and targets, and contribute to annual service planning, patient activity, and revenue objectives. Participate in audit, analyse outcomes, and publish specialty‑related measures. Act as a senior figure and role model, demonstrating values, compassion, and commitment to continuous improvement through research, development, innovation, and the General Medical Council revalidation process.
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree at time of application
* GMC registration
* Successful completion of FRCS (Plast) or equivalent at time of application
* Entry on the UK Specialist Register via CCT or proposed CCT date within six months of interview, CESR or proposed CESR date within six months of interview, or European Community Rights
* Significant experience of NHS working practices
