We are a supported accommodation provider working closely with local authorities, probation services and partner agencies to deliver safe, compliant and well-managed housing across Nottinghamshire. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our team and oversee allocations and housing benefit processes. Due to continued growth and expansion across our portfolio, we are creating this new role to strengthen our housing operations and ensure we maintain high standards as we scale.
The Role
This is a key operational role responsible for managing property allocations, housing benefit administration, tenancy sign-ups and occupancy tracking.
You will play a central part in ensuring properties are compliant, voids are minimised and referrals are progressed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing all Housing Benefit applications, continuation forms and follow-ups
* Completing tenancy sign-up paperwork and ensuring compliance documentation is accurate
* Allocating rooms/flats in line with referral and risk assessment decisions
* Managing voids and coordinating room readiness
* Liaising with Housing Officers regarding move-ins and move-outs
* Ensuring rooms are fully prepared prior to occupancy
* Producing and maintaining occupancy reports and void trackers
* Monitoring rent accounts and HB payments
* Maintaining accurate digital and physical tenancy records
* Communicating with external agencies regarding placements
What We're Looking For
* Experience in Housing Benefit administration (essential)
* Experience within supported housing or social housing (preferred)
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines
* Confident liaising with councils, probation and housing officers
* High attention to detail (legal documentation accuracy is critical)
* Strong Excel / reporting skills
* Professional communication skills
Desirable
* Knowledge of exempt accommodation rules
* Experience managing void turnaround processes
* Understanding of safeguarding and supported housing environments
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 37.5 per week
