This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with significant local government experience and strong expertise in public procurement and commercial contracts to take on a key advisory role within a dynamic public sector environment. Contract Length: 3 Months Rolling Rate Umbrella: £50-£55ph PAYE (inc.Hol): £44.50 - £48.89ph Responsibilities as a Contracts and Procurement Solicitor: Provide comprehensive legal advice to officers, members, and senior stakeholders on public procurement and commercial contract matters. Advise on and manage procurements conducted under the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) and associated regulations. Support complex, high-value, and high-risk procurement exercises from planning through to award and implementation. About you as a Contracts and Procurement Solicitor: Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEX with a current practising certificate in England & Wales. Significant experience within a Local Authority legal team, advising on contracts and public procurement matters Strong working knowledge of public sector governance frameworks and decision-making processes.
