Brackenbridge House is set in one and a half acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, sprinkled with pathways and seating areas. Offering first-class care for residents with 36 beds, each resident enjoys a unique, personalized care experience. Conveniently based in South Ruislip, all of London's sights and sounds are within easy reach, while the Berkshire countryside is only a short drive away.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Carer to join our team and deliver the following goals:
1. Being responsive and showing compassion to the individual needs of all.
2. Providing residents and staff with a warm, friendly, healthy and safe environment to live and work.
3. Establishing a person-centered approach to care.
4. Building the best team by encouraging training and self-development of all.
What does the role involve?
1. Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting / assisting residents, when required, with all aspects of daily living.
2. Support training and supervision of junior and new Staff Members in all aspects of their work in the Home, under the supervision of senior Staff Members.
3. Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required. Answer the door and telephone appropriately. Respond accordingly and pass on messages promptly.
4. Report on well-being of Clients and liaise with GPs and Support Managers etc.
5. Carry out regular checks on Clients at intervals determined by senior Staff Members.
6. Deliver a high level of personal and psychological care to all residents in a professional manner, arranging rotas to meet their care requirements e.g. medications; toileting; bathing; etc.
7. Complete records where required to a satisfactory standard. Ensuring the changeover and Key worker documentation are fully completed within the time frames agreed.
