M&A Operations - Ind, Energy & Manufacturing - Manager
Join to apply for the M&A Operations - Ind, Energy & Manufacturing - Manager role at PwC UK.
About The Role
M&A Operations is a market leading team sitting within the Strategy& business unit in the Deals line of service, assisting both Corporate and Private Equity (PE) clients in a wide range of high impact business situations. Most of our work is in the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) space, both pre and post deal, and we also deliver non-deal transformation projects, applying a fast paced Private Equity mind‑set.
Service Offerings
* Buy and sell side operational due diligence – i.e. has the business been performing well? What could be improved to unlock further value for our client?
* Carve out and divestment support – i.e. what does the business look like standalone, what support and transitional services will it need to function?
* How we help clients execute the separation and ensure a smooth Day 1.
* Mergers & Acquisitions Integration (incl. Synergy development and review) – how we protect and grow value in an acquisition, the right level of integration and what an effectively run integration programme looks like.
* Performance improvement using our Rapid Value Creation methodology (pre‑deal, post‑deal or outside the deal channel) – where value lies in the business and how we generate sustainable cost savings.
What Your Days Will Look Like
Whilst the team is London based, deal activity is global so projects can involve travel on short notice. Occasionally projects may also involve being based overseas for multiple weeks with trips home weekly or bi‑weekly; candidates should be prepared for this. The M&A Ops team is structured by sector, with specialist cross‑sector teams in Finance, Technology and Integration. Although you will be aligned to the IPS‑EURI sector team (Industrial Products & Services and Energy, Utilities, Resources & Infrastructure), the type of client projects you work on will vary based on demand and the current deal market, therefore a degree of flexibility is expected.
This Role Is For You If
* From an operational line‑management role or a transformational role in a corporate, you have been involved in the operational side of private equity or have worked in operational transaction services in the past.
* You are experienced in one or more of the following: lean manufacturing, manufacturing best‑practice, operational restructuring and cost reduction.
* You are able to demonstrate a strong understanding of a function such as engineering, procurement, supply‑chain or manufacturing operations.
* You have the ability to quickly assess the performance of a business (or its elements) and outline improvement opportunities based on limited information and/or interactions with Management.
What You’ll Receive From Us
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
