Deputy Home Manager
Hours: 42 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Are you an experienced care professional with a proven track record in leadership, ready to take the next step in a high-quality, resident-focused environment?
We are seeking a confident and capable Deputy Home Manager who brings strong experience in managing care teams, delivering outstanding standards, and driving continuous improvement. This is a key leadership role where you will support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care at all times.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an established Team Leader or current Deputy Manager who has hands-on experience within a residential care setting and a deep understanding of the needs of older people.
The Role
You will play a pivotal role in leading and developing the care team, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while maintaining a culture of excellence throughout the home.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all aspects of care delivery, ensuring it is person-centred, responsive, and aligned with CQC fundamental standards
2. Leading, coaching, and performance managing care teams to deliver consistently high-quality outcomes
3. Managing staff rotas and ensuring the correct skill mix to meet residents’ needs
4. Taking accountability for care planning, audits, risk assessments, and continuous quality improvement
5. Ensuring full compliance with safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
6. Conducting regular audits including medication, care plans, and infection control
7. Supporting recruitment, training, supervision, and retention of staff
8. Deputising for the Home Manager in their absence with confidence and professionalism
9. Building strong relationships with families, professionals, and external stakeholders
You will be instrumental in creating a positive, high-performing culture where both residents and colleagues can thrive.
About You
We are specifically looking for someone experienced, resilient, and confident in leading within a care environment. You will bring:
10. Proven experience in a leadership role within a residential or nursing care setting
11. Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and care legislation
12. Experience managing teams, handling performance, and driving engagement
13. A solid understanding of care planning, audits, compliance, and quality assurance
14. The ability to make sound decisions under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
15. Excellent organisational, communication, and influencing skills
16. A genuine passion for delivering exceptional, person-centred care
A Level 3 Diploma in Care (or equivalent) is essential, along with a commitment to continued professional development.

Hatfield House is a modern, purpose-built residential care home set in a convenient and well-connected area of Doncaster. Designed to an exceptional standard, the home offers a bright, spacious, and elegant environment, providing high-quality accommodation and en-suite rooms for up to 49 residents.
Operated by Anchor, a well-established not-for-profit organisation with over 60 years of experience, the home combines contemporary facilities with a warm, community-focused atmosphere. Its excellent location makes it easily accessible for families and professionals, while still offering a calm and welcoming setting for residents.
