The King Charles II is a great pub based in the town centre of Ross on Wye in Herefordshire which is known as the birthplace of British Tourism. The town is a really popular tourist destination due to it’s historic architecture, independent shops and scenic views of the Wye valley. It is also close to attractions like Goodrich Castle and the Forest of Dean. Whilst attracting lots of footfall to the area from tourists there are plenty of opportunities to bring locals into the pub.
The pub has a really traditional feel with lots of seating at the front and some dining tables to the rear. The beer garden at the back is a real hidden gem and perfect for hosting BBQ’s etc. in the summer months.
We are looking for someone to take on the pub who has great ambition and drive and who will have experience of implementing and serving their own menu, so the ability to cook is important. The ideal operator would also be someone who can introduce weekly activity into the pub to draw in guests such as Quiz Nights, Bingo, Live music and be keen to get involved in the local community and become well known in the area.
The site currently takes around £2k per week on wet sales but has loads of potential to grow with the right operator and with introducing a food offer to the pub.
The private accommodation has 3 bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen and bathroom and is situated above the pub.
What’s in it for you?
* 20% share of weekly wet sales, excluding VAT.
* Keep 100% of the food sales.
* Low ingoing costs, starting with just a £5,000 deposit and £360 legal cost. (*deposits can vary dependant on business – ask us for more details*)
* Accommodation included with most bills covered, except the council tax & TV License.
If this is not the pub for you do you know someone who might be interested? If so, let us know using our Refer a Friend scheme and if they're offered, we will give you a £1,000! (Terms & conditions apply)
