FACILITIES MANAGER
Location: Glasgow City Centre & Surrounding Areas
Salary: 40-45k
About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Facilities Manager to join a fast-growing property business with an expanding portfolio. This is a senior, hands-on role for a proven professional who can take full ownership of building operations, compliance, and service delivery.
This role is not suitable for junior or developing candidates.
We are seeking a high-performing individual with a strong track record in facilities management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day facilities operations across multiple sites
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance programmes
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation
- Manage contractors and service providers
- Control facilities budgets and procurement
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits
- Implement asset management and lifecycle planning
- Manage emergency and out-of-hours issues when required
- Produce reports on performance, risks, and compliance
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrable success in a Facilities Manager role
- Strong knowledge of health and safety and compliance standards
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities
- Experience managing multi-site portfolios
- Strong contractor management experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confident decision-maker with a solutions-focused approach
Desirable Experience
- IOSH/NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience within commercial or mixed-use property portfolios
- Budget management responsibility
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, fire safety, access control)
