Summary
Class 1 Weekend Drivers Required for set runs, 4 days a week (Thursday to Sunday). This is a demanding role that requires a driver with a high skill level, navigating rural A and B roads and requiring precision reversing into tight loading bays and customer yards. The set runs are local with no nights out required. Each shift will be a guaranteed 10 hour minimum payment.
Thursday Rate £14.95 per hour (10 hours)
Friday Rate £14.95 per hour (10 hours)
Saturday rate £19.44 per hour (10 hours)
Sunday rate £24.90 per hour (10 hours)
£38'604.80 per year.
Job Types: Permanent, 4 days a week.
Overtime paid on hours over the full contracted 40 hour per week.
Additional overtime available for holiday cover.
Responsibilities
* Operate Class 1 curtain side trucks safely and efficiently
* Ensure timely delivery of goods to clients
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
* Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients
* Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed.
* Securing the load.
* Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
* Qualifications
* Valid HGV license with a good driving record
* Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with curtain side trucks
* Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Experience in delivery driving is a plus
* Commitment to safety and customer satisfaction
