Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Polisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and mechanical knowledge, with experience in using various tools and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and finish.
Duties
* Perform polishing and finishing operations on metal and other materials to achieve desired surface quality.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and grinding equipment effectively to complete tasks.
* Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure seamless assembly of components.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
* Assist in tooling setup and adjustments as necessary for various projects.
* Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) when required for automated processes.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in fabrication, welding, and assembly processes is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software for design interpretation is an advantage.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
* Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to polishing tasks.
* Previous warehouse experience is beneficial, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
