Working Hours
Full time. Average of 39.5 hours per week over a 5‑week rotating shift pattern, including a 30‑minute unpaid meal break. Shift pattern includes weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with 1 in 3 Saturdays and Sundays required (two days off in the week).
Salary and Allowances
* Base salary: £39,715
* Potential to earn between £50,000 and £70,000 including overtime
* Night shift allowance: £131.37 per week (21:30‑06:00 shift)
* Shift allowance: £87.58 per week (12:30‑22:00 shift)
* Weekend supplement: £52.10 per shift on Saturdays and £104.20 per shift on Sundays
* Annual holiday: 22.5 days plus bank holidays, rising with service, option to purchase more

About the Role
* Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures on HGV vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment
* Use personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles
* Have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in modern, fully equipped workshops
Qualifications
* Qualified mechanic: fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent); own toolkit for standard repairs
* Varied vehicle experience: proven vehicle technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, e.g., HGV
* Valid UK driving licence: full manual UK licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience
* High working standards: take pride in work and ensure job is completed effectively
* Flexible to service demands: able to work a flexible shift rota and support team as required
