As a Design Engineer, you will be required to design large recycling plants to the customer's specifications and report back to the head of design. The role requires you to work on your own initiative using your problem-solving skills. Work will be completed to meet customer deadlines. Our client designs and manufactures equipment for companies across the world, keeping to each country’s standards and criteria. Responsibilities Use SolidWorks to design equipment in the heavy engineering and material processing industry Undertake large stationary and mobile projects without assistance or guidance Design equipment using advanced 3D modelling with attention to detail Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to support manufacturing processes. Identify any mechanical issues throughout the design and manufacturing processes, implementing effective solutions to overcome challenges. Qualifications Be proficient in SolidWorks HND or a degree in an engineering-related subject 4 years in designing heavy equipment for material processing Have experience in leading design projects, desired but not essential
