About the role
Larksfield Supported Living is based in the town of Wisbech and supports adults with a learning disability and/or physical disability.
We aim to enable adults with a disability to live as independently as possible and to enjoy lifestyles as close to those enjoyed by other members of the community. We support and empower adults with a learning disability, or Older People, to enhance the quality of their life, maximise potential and to continue to promote and develop independence skills within their home.
The role will include promoting life skills development, and providing planned activities, you will need to have commitment and enthusiasm towards working with people with a disability.

About you
As a Senior Support Worker, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as having proficient IT skills.
Experience of working with vulnerable people at work or home will be helpful however more importantly you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to think creatively. You will also have a sensitive and professional approach, showing understanding of confidentiality in and outside the service.
You will be able to demonstrate commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion principles and anti-discriminatory practice. A good understanding of equal opportunities, person centred approach and diversity are all essential. Sometimes you will be lone working but will also work as part of the team in group activities.
You will have a proficient level of written and spoken English for the purposes of case recording and will hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or related subject.
