SENDCo Sudbury, Suffolk (CO10)£45,000 - £50,000 per annumFull Time - 40 hours per week A rewarding opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate SENDCo to join a nurturing and supportive educational setting in Sudbury. The school offers a personalised curriculum focused on personal development, life skills, social interaction, and enriching offsite experiences.The Role The successful candidate will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school, ensuring pupils receive tailored, high-quality support that enables them to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities
* Lead the identification, assessment, and monitoring of pupils with SEND
* Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation
* Support and train staff in effective SEND strategies, differentiation, and inclusive teaching practices
* Monitor pupil progress and wellbeing, adapting provision where required
* Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure positive outcomes for pupils
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* SENDCo qualification or willingness to undertake the accreditation
* Experience coordinating SEND provision within a complex educational setting
* Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education
* Ability to lead and support staff effectively
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
