We are actively seeking skilled and empathetic GCSE tutors who are passionate about supporting learners through their academic challenges and helping them succeed in their GCSEs.
This role offers a chance to make a measurable difference in a young person's life by providing targeted, individualised support.
The Role
As a 1:1 GCSE tutor, you will work with students who are not currently attending school and require focused academic guidance in core GCSE subjects. Tuition is typically delivered in the student's home or a designated local venue.
You'll be supporting learners with a range of educational needs, including:
* Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and general learning difficulties
* Children in Care requiring continuity and academic catch-up
* Students dealing with anxiety or mental health issues that prevent regular school attendance
* School-refusers or those disengaged from mainstream education
* Young people who have been excluded from school
Who We're Looking For
This position is ideal for:
* Qualified teachers (QTS/QTLS) with experience in delivering GCSE content
* Experienced tutors confident in supporting students working towards their GCSE exams
* Individuals who are motivated, flexible, and committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning
Tuition hours are typically between 1 and 15 hours per week, offering excellent flexibility to accommodate other commitments.
Subjects in Demand
We are currently seeking tutors in the following GCSE subjects:
* English Language & Literature
* Mathematics (Foundation and Higher tiers)
* Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Combined Science)
* Additional GCSE subjects based on student need and tutor expertise
You will primarily be supporting students aged 14-16, focusing on exam preparation and core skill development.
