What does a Social Worker - LD Team do at Hillingdon?
Join the dedicated team at Hillingdon Council and make a significant impact as a Social Worker within our Learning Disabilities Team! We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual who is committed to enhancing the lives of adults with learning disabilities. In this vital role, you will collaborate with clients, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to provide tailored support plans that promote independence, well-being, and community integration.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Manage social work caseload of more complex nature and with high levels of autonomy.
2. Provide expert professional and technical advice to other Social Workers, managers,
3. colleagues and partners.
4. Provide professional supervision of other Social Workers (circa 3-6), supporting caseload
5. management and promoting reflective practice and continuous professional development.
6. Demonstrate skilled use of range of frameworks for assessment and intervention.
7. Model and help others develop social work professionalism and effective caseload
8. management.
9. Establish network of internal and external colleagues to support effective practice.
10. Prepare reports for Court of Protection
About you
Key skills/ experience to evidence within your application:
11. Social Work degree or equivalent
12. 12 months AYSE
13. Experience in the assessment and care management of older people and/or people with disabilities
14. Clear written and verbal communication skills
