We're looking for an Arborist Apprentice to join our Transportation based in Birmingham, working towards a Level 2 apprenticeship in Arborist.
Transportation - Build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people. We provide transport solutions that are sustainable, long-lasting and that promote various methods of transport
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.
Location: Based out of the Thimble Mill Lane Depot in Birmingham
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £20,800
Start Date: September 2026

How does an apprenticeship work?
As an Arborist Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 2 apprenticeship, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team to support in the overall design, build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.
Your Day To Day Will Include
Assisting with traffic management setups (cones, signs, barriers)
Following method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)
Clearing cut material from the work sites
Supporting removal of dangerous or fallen trees, hanging or fallen branches on the Network
Learning how to use various tools and machinery
What are we looking for?
The role of Arborist Apprentice is great for you if you:
CSE Grade 3 or above in Maths and English
18 years or older by the time the position starts
Are punctual, self-motivated, and willing to learn
Have the ability to handle physical work in varying weather conditions
