Key Responsibilities The role would involve supporting, but are not limited to: • Preparing and finalising statutory accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheets, and Trial Balances • Preparing management accounts and financial reports • Preparing VAT returns and corporation tax computations • Preparing payroll processes and compliance • Working with senior staff. The ideal candidate will be confident in producing high quality work for senior accountant and partner review which requires little further input, clearly highlights issues and suggesting potential solutions. Requirements Technical Skills Essential • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Microsoft office skills including MS Word, MS Excel, pivot tables, applications, PowerPoint, and Presentation skills Preferred • Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and financial reporting standards • Proficiency in accounting software such as CCH and Sage Line 50 • Experience with Caseware or similar audit software preferred Competencies Essential • Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure • Diligent • Client and output oriented • Creatively minded with the ability to think outside the box Qualifications & Experience Essential • Experience in accounting firms, or busy accounts departments • Ideally, AAT/ACCA/ACA part qualified/Qualified by experience Preferred • A-level or equivalent in Maths and at least one scient subject • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a UK Chartered Accountancy practice • Auditing experience (SME sector) • Communicational Hindi, Gujarati and other language skills would ne handy, but not essential
