We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Years Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support children aged 3-5 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early years education and experienced in supporting children with additional needs, including autism, speech and language delays, and physical or sensory impairments.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEND in the EYFS setting.
2. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
3. Assist with learning activities, personal care, and social development.
4. Use strategies and resources to help children access the EYFS curriculum.
5. Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children in an Early Years or SEND setting (essential).
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
* Understanding of the EYFS framework and SEND Code of Practice.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, caring, and flexible approach.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
