Position: PMLD Support Teaching Assistant
Location: South Shore, Black
Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a delightful Year 2 child with PMLD, ensuring their individual needs are met with care and sensitivity.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored educational plans and engaging activities.
* Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where the child feels safe, supported, and valued.
* Support the child’s social, emotional, and academic development through personalized interventions.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to monitor and report on progress.
* Assist with personal care tasks, always maintaining the child’s dignity and comfort.
* Encourage participation in classroom and school-wide activities, adapting approaches as needed.
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with PMLD or other special educational needs.
* A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the child’s evolving needs.
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (preferred but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
