Cover Supervisor

September start- Full time 5 days per week
Salary -£100-£120 dependent on experience
A well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in Hartlepool is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join its professional and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with classroom experience who is considering a future in teaching or education more broadly.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
1. Supervise lessons during the short-term absence of teachers
2. Ensure a calm and productive learning environment
3. Follow lesson plans and support students in staying focused
4. Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the school
You’ll be working with students across a range of age groups and subject areas. This is a varied and rewarding role that requires confidence, excellent behaviour management skills, and the ability to form positive relationships.
What We’re Looking For
5. Experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school setting- Must have UK based experience
6. Strong classroom management and communication skills
7. A proactive, flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider school community
8. A desire to be involved in enrichment activities and whole-school events
