Your Company:NET Recruit are delighted to be partnering with a well-established, internationally recognised organisation who are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join their team. This is a field-based role, primarily operating from a main base in Rugby. You will be working on a variety of plant, equipment, and fixed installations, often in challenging and fast-paced environments. The role offers excellent variety, responsibility, and long-term development within a growing engineering business.Your Roles and ResponsibilitiesWhile in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
* Carrying out mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation work at customer sites
* Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective rectification of mechanical defects
* Ensuring all work meets required safety, quality, and performance standards
* Reading and working from engineering drawings to complete installations and repairs
* Supervising and coordinating subcontractors where required
* Liaising with customers on-site to ensure clear communication and service delivery
* Completing all relevant job documentation accurately and in line with procedures
* Working in accordance with company SHEQ systems and client site requirements
* Supporting installation and decommissioning of plant and equipment
What You Will Need To ApplyPlease apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
* NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
* Proven experience in mechanical field service, installation, or maintenance
* Background working within industries such as food, construction, quarrying, waste, or utilities
* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Good fault-finding, diagnostic, and practical problem-solving skills
* Confident decision-making ability and strong communication skills
* Ability to work independently and under pressure in a field-based environment
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Willingness to travel and work away from home during the week
* Willingness to undergo or obtain security clearance if required
