Intermediate Building Physics Engineer - London - Up to £45k
A multidisciplinary Built Environment Consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Building Physics Engineer to support the delivery of sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions across sectors including education, healthcare, commercial, and public projects. Join an experienced team working closely with senior engineers, architects, and clients to develop building performance strategies from concept to construction.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Supporting thermal modelling, energy analysis, and Part L compliance
2. Assisting with overheating assessments, natural ventilation analysis, and thermal comfort studies
3. Producing IES-VE or DesignBuilder models for energy simulations
4. Collaborating on low-energy design strategies and carbon reduction studies
5. Contributing to sustainability assessments such as BREEAM, WELL, and LEED
6. Working with multidisciplinary teams on new-build and refurbishment projects
About You:
* 2-4 years' experience in a building physics or energy modelling role
* Familiar with IES-VE, TAS, or DesignBuilder software
* Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, TM52, TM54, TM59, and SAP/SBEM
* Enthusiastic about contributing to sustainable building design and developing technical and consultancy skills
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
