This role can be based from either their site in Hawthorn, Tewksbury or Oakhanger, Hampshire.
As a Third Line Support Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary! The role provides third line support to the network, undertaking fault investigations and performing upgrades and enhancements.
Day-to-day, you'll provide expertise knowledge in the design and implementation of Internet Protocol (IP) networks and a knowledge of satellite communications systems.
You will be responsible for:
1. Responding to customer faults and network incidents.
2. Managing the installation and configuration of new system elements.
3. Test and commissioning of new equipment and services.
4. Ensuring new services and systems meet UK security requirements.
5. Managing obsolescence within the existing system to ensure the system remains supportable and compliant to security requirements.
6. Providing third line support to operations teams.
You :
7. Experience in the design and delivery of IP communication networks, ideally with Cisco accreditation.
8. Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
9. Knowledge of Satellite communications technology (desirable)
10. Previous experience at a telecoms or satellite communication company (desirable)
