We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Rail division, supporting major civil engineering works across the CP7/8 Network Rail framework in the London region. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a long-term programme delivering critical rail infrastructure improvements across the network.
You will play a key role in commercial management, cost control, and contract administration, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all commercial and cost management aspects of assigned rail and civil engineering projects
* Prepare, submit and agree valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Support the development of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
* Administer NEC and NR contract forms, ensuring full compliance with commercial obligations
* Provide cost advice and commercial reporting to project teams and senior management
* Liaise with Network Rail and other stakeholders to ensure smooth commercial delivery
* Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
About You
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience within the rail or civil infrastructure sector
* Sound knowledge of NEC contracts (NR12 experience desirable)
* Strong commercial and analytical skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Eligible to work in the UK
