Overview
Business Strategy Manager - Manufacturing role at Autodesk. The Business Strategy Manager, manufacturing industry intelligence, is responsible for managing and leading research and analysis and providing insights-based guidance to middle and upper management. The role involves working autonomously and leveraging cross-functional subject matter experts and external consulting providers. You will partner with stakeholders across the Business Industry Strategy team, product management, product development, marketing, strategic partnerships, and sales. A solid grasp of the manufacturing industry in general, and the industrial software market specifically, is essential. The ability to combine excellent analytical skills with the ability to autonomously craft and communicate compelling insights to senior management is essential. This is a high-visibility role with impact on business and go-to-market strategies for Autodesk’s manufacturing business.
Responsibilities
* Define, build and work with analytical models, leveraging various internal and external sources of data
* Create compelling presentations and communications to share insights and drive transformation and change
* Build a strong internal network with key stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment
* Continuously further insights into market developments, new technologies, strategic opportunities and risks
* Act as a center of excellence for industry insights
* Deliver process improvements and ensure high quality and robustness of output and deliverables
* Work with accountability, self-motivation, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or equivalent field experience
* 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry and knowledge of CAD, CAM, digital factory
* 3+ years of experience in industrial software or other software industry
* Proven ability to autonomously drive projects forward within a large organization with globally distributed teams
* Excellent English language skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of SaaS business and leading-edge technology (e.g. AI)
* MBA or comparable advanced degree
* Experience in a strategic capacity in strategy, go-to-market, product management, business development or related roles within software/high-tech or management consulting
* Strong executive presentation skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills for a highly matrixed organization
* Proven ability to lead and influence in a geographically dispersed global organization
* Willingness and ability to travel internationally
