Finance Analyst - Hounslow (4 days per week in office) - £50k-£60k Overview Our client, a leading player in the aviation and logistics sector, is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their high-performing finance team. This is a newly created role, offering significant exposure to senior leadership and a strong emphasis on commercial finance, project analysis, and strategic business partnering. Reporting into the FP&A Manager, this position is ideal for a qualified or soon to be qualified accountant with a flair for financial modelling, a passion for systems, and a solutions-driven mindset. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in budgeting, forecasting, business case evaluation, and driving both revenue and cost optimisation initiatives across multiple business entities. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain weekly and monthly volume and revenue forecasts Support annual budget and rolling forecast (75) planning cycles across multiple entities Review and analyse Capex and Opex business cases; track post-implementation benefits in collaboration with procurement Provide insightful analysis of monthly performance vs budget/forecast, identifying key variances and underlying drivers Lead and monitor cost-saving and revenue-generating initiatives, ensuring accountability from stakeholders Conduct headcount and FTE modelling to support workforce planning Partner with procurement to assess annual contract renewals and their inflationary impact Support cashflow modelling in partnership with the Transactional Finance function Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of financial controls and automation Collaborate on ad hoc strategic projects with the FP&A Manager and Head of Finance Candidate Profile Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) – strong finalists may be considered Proven experience in a commercial finance or financial planning role Exposure to multi-site P&L operations; experience in aviation, logistics, or cargo sectors is advantageous Advanced Excel skills with a strong grasp of financial modelling Proficiency in PowerPoint; working knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, and MS Dynamics considered a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders across various levels A modern, forward-thinking approach to finance with a keen interest in systems and automation Highly analytical, organised, and deadline-driven
