Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Newcastle (Hybrid 3 days office / sites, 2 days wfh)
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 + bonus, private medical + strong benefits
About the Role:
We are supporting a well-established property organisation in the appointment of a Health & Safety Advisor to support the delivery of health and safety across a diverse portfolio.
Working closely with the Director of Health & Safety, this is a varied role offering exposure across audits, reporting, systems, and stakeholder engagement. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to learn, grow and develop within a supportive environment, whether you already have some experience or are looking to secure your first role in health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide health and safety advice and guidance across the business
* Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the health and safety management system
* Carry out site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice
* Assist with internal audits and risk management processes
* Produce reports and analyse health and safety data for key stakeholders
* Support incident reporting, investigations, and RIDDOR requirements
* Coordinate health and safety training, including identifying needs and supporting delivery
* Assist in the development and review of policies, procedures, and systems
* Engage with stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in a Health & Safety role, or a strong interest in securing your first role in the industry
* A genuine interest in health and safety and developing a long-term career
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels
* Good attention to detail and ability to work with data and reports
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
* Experience within property, housing, education or facilities management
