Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities To provide an excellent customer service to patients, relatives/carers and to external agencies To provide a comprehensive administration, booking and appointment service for outpatients To work within the Women and Newborn services and provide cross-cover for other staff across the service to ensure a consistent and effective adminstration service is maintained at all times. The hours are 22.5 per week with flexible shift pattern, will include Saturday working Person specification Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience Essential criteria Literacy and numeracy skills, demonstrable to GCSE- grades 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 or grades A*, A, B, C (or equivalent) Good keyboard skills and basic computer literacy skills. Experience in a busy working environment. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. An understanding of confidentiality issues. Friendly, approachable and sympathetic manner. Clear written and verbal communication skills Desirable criteria Previous hospital or health service experience. Experience of using eCaMIS. Office experience. Previous experience within a ‘customer care’ role.
