Clinical Template: 25 patient contacts, 40 mins admin, 1 home visit (flexible based on preference)
Job Summary
Our established PCN is seeking a Newly Qualified GP (within 2 years of CCT) to join its collaborative, high‑performing network of practices. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a developing GP to gain broad clinical exposure, strong support, and long‑term stability through ARRS funding.
You will deliver a range of duties outlined in the GMS contract, including consultations, clinical administration, prescribing responsibilities, and continuity of care across PCN sites.
Main Responsibilities
* Conduct face‑to‑face and telephone consultations for a wide range of clinical presentations
* Undertake home visits and nursing home reviews as required
* Manage repeat prescriptions, medication queries, and clinical documentation
* Screen patients for risk factors, early signs of illness, and chronic disease indicators
* Lead on clinical decision‑making for undifferentiated and complex cases
* Request, interpret, and action diagnostic tests, ensuring appropriate follow‑up
* Make timely referrals to secondary care or other healthcare providers
* Develop personalised care and treatment plans in line with NICE and local guidance
* Maintain accurate, high‑standard clinical notes using EMIS or SystmOne
* Take part in clinical audits, learning events, and practice meetings
* Prescribe safely and appropriately, following formulary and BNF guidance
* Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team and wider Federation staff
* Contribute to PCN and Federation performance indicators and service priorities
About You
* Newly qualified GP within 2 years of CCT
* Confident in managing a broad primary care caseload
* Able to work flexibly across PCN sites using EMIS and/or SystmOne
* Strong communicator with a commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centred care
* Motivated to contribute to service improvement and local primary care development
