Our client is seeking a facilities manager ideally with experience of working in an educational environment.
Key responsibilities
- Site, Premises and Facilities Management, plan, oversee and carry out maintenance, repairs, redecoration and improvements to buildings, grounds and equipment. Liaising with contractors.
-Health and Safety, ensuring statutory checks are carried out and recorded, risk assessments, implement any improvements to meet Health and Safety standards and COSHH. Main key holder for emergencies.
-Vehicle Maintenance, ensuring the maintenance of minibuses.
-Budget and Resource Management, working closely with the business manager to manage budgets.
-Staff Management and Development, manage and support site and cleaning staff, conducting appraisals.
Skills and Experience required
- Previous experience in premises management
- Ideally a specialist trade - Plumbing or Electricals
-Health and safety qualification
-Practical experience of managing contractors/suppliers
-IT skills for reporting and scheduling
