We are currently recruiting to two fixed-term posts: one for 18 months and one for 6 months.Main duties and responsibilitiesAs a Talent & Development Advisor, you will be instrumental in attracting the people who will shape DMU’s future. You will lead imaginative talent attraction approaches — from targeted social media campaigns to creative multi-channel advertising — ensuring DMU stands out in an increasingly competitive market.Working closely with hiring managers, you will design recruitment plans that meet the needs of the university today while supporting its long-term ambitions. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, build strong relationships with recruitment partners, and drive specialist campaigns that bring exceptional talent to DMU.You will also play a key role in how we assess and develop our leaders. From designing and facilitating selection activities for senior and specialist roles, to advising managers on assessment tools and methodologies, you will ensure that our approach is robust, consistent, and aligned to the needs of a university undergoing positive change.Collaboration is central to this role. You will work closely with the Talent and Development Manager and our Careers Pathways Specialist to shape internal development pathways that support colleagues in building fulfilling, future-focused careers. The PersonTo be successful, you will bring experience of working in a similar talent or HR role, or hold a relevant professional qualification. You’ll have a strong grasp of end-to-end recruitment processes, from crafting compelling social media campaigns to driving inclusive and equitable hiring practices that reflect our values.You will be confident working with senior leaders and knowledgeable in a range of assessment and selection methodologies.
