Charity Accountant are a small, modern accountancy practice based in Sevenoaks, dedicated exclusively to charities and not-for-profit organisations. Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Client Manager to join our team and play a key role in supporting organisations that make a real difference.

What we’re looking for
* Minimum of four years’ experience preparing and examining charity accounts to a high standard
* At least four years’ experience working in an accountancy practice
* Part-qualified or qualified ACA/ACCA
* Thorough understanding of Charity SORP requirements
* Ability to supervise and mentor juniors, managing a small team effectively
* Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of client relationships
* Strong attention to detail
* Reliable, organised and able to meet deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both formal and informal)
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience with Mercia audit work programmes
* Proficiency in QuickBooks and Xero
The Role – Key Responsibilities
* Preparing financial statements for charities and not-for-profits (small and large)
* Carrying out independent examinations of charity accounts
* Preparing high-quality working papers
* Supervising and training junior staff
* Preparing management accounts and other reports
* Managing deadlines and budgets effectively
* Liaising with clients on all assignments
* Performing other related duties as needed
