Clerical Officer – Health Records
Join NHS Scotland NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a part‑time Clerical Officer – Health Records. The role is permanent, 36 hours full‑time post reduction effective 1 April 2026, and Pro Rata salary for part‑time hours.
Shift pattern: Monday 10 AM – 5 PM, 30 min lunch; Tuesday 5 PM – 10:30 AM, 30 min lunch.
Location: Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, Glasgow, Scotland.
Responsibilities:
* Support effective clinical care by providing efficient administrative, clerical and receptionist services.
* Maintain electronic and paper based patient records systems, ensuring confidential, accurate and up to date information.
* Ensure patient appointments for outpatient clinics, day cases and inpatient admissions are administered and processed accurately and that patients’ health records remain confidential, are securely stored and are available when necessary.
* Maintain patient demographic and administrative data through continual checking and updating of the patient management system.
Qualifications:
* National 4 or Level 1 qualification in 3 subjects, including English or equivalent.
* General administration and office experience/previous clerical experience desirable.
* Computer literate with good keyboard skills.
* Previous reception experience desirable.
* Prior experience of using a Patient Management System would be desirable, however training will be provided.
