An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Pharmacy Technician in our Churchill, Canbury, Orchard, and Berrylands Primary Care Network (CCOB PCN). We care for approximately 50,000 patients across four practices in Kingston; this role will be based at The Churchill Medical Centre and The Orchard Practice.
This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Pharmacy Technician with excellent communication skills to join us. We already work with prescribing clerks and a clinical pharmacist across our practices and are keen to expand our team. The role will support practice teams within our network to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient systems for repeat prescribing, medicines optimisation, reducing medicines waste, and maximising patient outcomes. Pharmacy Technicians will work alongside prescribing clerks, clinical pharmacists, GPs, and nurses.
Main duties of the job
* Support practice teams to deliver safe and effective repeat prescribing and medicines management.
* Assist in medicines optimisation and reducing waste.
* Collaborate with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
* Engage in patient-facing activities and service development.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
* BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences
* Sound clinical knowledge
Experience
* Experience in general practice or similar roles is advantageous but not essential.
Additional requirements
Must be registered with the GPhC and have a sound clinical knowledge and computer literacy. This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
