Location: North East (client‑side, council environment)
Our client is seeking a highly experienced interim property leader to provide strategic cover while they recruit a permanent hire. You will lead a large, complex public‑sector property function during a period of significant transformation.
The successful Interim Head of Property Services will have:
* Extensive senior experience within local government or the wider public sector.
* Commercial acumen, with a strong ability to drive value from public assets.
* Expertise in asset strategy, estate optimisation, and long‑term planning.
* Transformational leadership, including service redesign, performance improvement, and cultural change.
* Corporate Landlord implementation experience, ideally within a council undergoing modernisation.
* Income optimisation, including identifying and delivering new revenue streams across the estate.
* Ability to operate at pace during transition periods and provide stability while permanent recruitment is underway.
