Project Engineer – Civil Engineering (Residential Development)
📍 Chelmsford | Hybrid (2 days WFH)
💰 £45–55k + car + benefits
We’re seeking a Project Engineer with development-focused civil engineering experience to join our Design & Technical team. You'll support the engineering and infrastructure design for residential sites and oversee consultant outputs to ensure best value, compliance and buildability.
What you’ll do:
* Due diligence reviews, technical reports & constraint plans
* Prepare servicing, access, levels & drainage strategies
* Manage/oversee external consultant designs
* Coordinate S38/S104/S278 agreements
* Liaise with authorities to discharge planning/regs
* Prepare scopes for surveys and design work
What you’ll bring:
* HNC/HND+ in engineering + 5+ yrs experience
* Civil/structural consultancy or developer background
* Strong understanding of drainage, foundations & access
* Confident working with authorities/utilities
* AutoCAD skills; PDS/MicroDrainage desirable
